I believe that everyone has a story to tell – a great idea for a character, a scene or a situation – they’re just not sure how to develop it.
On my course, you’ll learn how to develop an idea from a scene, to an act, then to a full-scale drama. The techniques are simple to learn and applicable across a wide range of media. My methods have been developed over 25 years of writing and teaching and I very much enjoy sharing them!
Whichever course option you choose, I offer a fun, stimulating online class each week along with ongoing personal feedback. There will be something to watch and discuss and a target for the next session. This is always done by agreement and can work with your life’s schedule. Learning is supported by bespoke additional content accessible only to my students via a private YouTube channel. How much you write is, of course, up to you!
By the end of the course you will have acquired a range of techniques to help you take your project further. My focus on the ‘toolbox’ of skills means that you can shape your idea for stage, screen or audio presentation. It’s always YOUR story! Whether you are creating a murder mystery, a ghost story, fantasy adventure, romantic comedy or gritty drama, the skills I teach will help you progress it.
